Celebrating Our Canada Office Opening

Robinhood was founded on a simple idea: that our financial markets should be accessible to all. With customers at the heart of our decisions, Robinhood is lowering barriers and providing greater access to financial information and investing. Together, we are building products and services that help create a financial system everyone can participate in.

Several members of our engineering, security, corporate engineering, and recruiting teams were recently in Toronto for our office opening in early June. It was an exhilarating few days, buzzing with energy as we connected with our new Canadian team members and met some exceptional local talent, including prospective early talent and seasoned industry professionals.

Our downtown Toronto office is now officially open and thriving, with over 50 new Robinhood team members contributing across various technical teams. It was amazing to connect with our Canadian teammates and host our engineering all hands locally from Toronto!

We also held a university information session at the University of Waterloo, where we engaged with over 75+ students. We thoroughly enjoyed networking with the bright minds of tomorrow and are eagerly anticipating our return in the fall for the 2025 recruiting season kickoff.

Our networking event for industry talent took place at our new office. The Industry Event featured presentations from several of our leaders including Mayank Agarwal, VP of Engineering and Erika Dean, Chief Security Officer as well as several other leaders who shared their insights on the latest trends, challenges and opportunities across engineering, security and corporate engineering. Topics included an overview of our teams and key technical challenges, why we’ve expanded in Canada, how we are exploring GenAI in an innovative and safe way, and much more. One of the most valuable aspects of the event was the chance for attendees to connect 1:1 with members of the team. 75+ attendees exchanged ideas, built new relationships, and learned more about why Robinhood is a great place to be.

We received great feedback from attendees! Building on the success of this event, we are excited to announce plans to visit Toronto in the fall to continue our recruiting efforts, both for university and industry. Stay tuned for more information, and we look forward to seeing you there. In the meantime, Robinhood Canada continues to actively seek talented individuals across many teams in a variety of roles. We are always looking for more individuals who share our commitment to building a diverse team and creating an inclusive environment as we continue in our journey in democratizing finance for all. Stay connected with us — join our talent community and check out our open roles!
